In order to apply for the Sustainable RIVER project, you will need to submit an application through a Google form. Below is a description of the information that you will need to provide on the application. The application period for the Sustainable RIVER project is now closed and will re-open again in November 2018.

You will be asked to provide basic contact information including: first and last name, e-mail and postal-mail address, and phone number. A demographic section will ask you to indicate your race, ethnicity, gender-identity, and whether or not you are a first-generation college student.

A section about your college preparation will ask you to list the name of the college/university you are attending, whether you are attending a 2-year or 4-year institution, all of your academic major(s) and minor(s), any collegiate awards/certificates received, the number of academic credits you will have received by the end of 2017, and your GPA.

The third section will help match you with the individual research projects. You will be asked to identify up to three research projects that you would be interested in conducting (see the Research Projects tab for more information on the individual research projects), any courses taken that are relevant to the chosen project(s), and how familiar you are with the Missouri River and the sustainability issues surrounding it.

Finally, you will be asked to provide information about why you are interested in and qualified for the Sustainable RIVER project. This will include providing a personal statement describing your interest in the Sustainable RIVER project and how it relates to your long-range career plans. You will also be asked to provide the names of three professional references who will be submitting letters on your behalf.
